Tanis was founded in 1995 by Leo and Rene Tanis, who had honed the craft of making confectionery during 20 years’ working for a kitchen equipment manufacturer partly owned by their father. To begin with, Tanis focused solely on kitchen processing equipment for making all kinds of sweets, including hard candy, soft candy, chews, bars and nougat. In 2014, Tanis broadened its equipment scope to complete production lines, while specializing these for the production of gummies and jellies.

Tanis Processing Expertise

The company offers complete processing lines from 50 upto 7000 kg of of gummy bears an hour. Their entry level modular solutions (starch and non starch) help customers grow their business organically. Gelatin is the most popular gelling agent used in gummy, but Tanis also has experience with alternatives like pectin, agar-agar or carrageenan. The Tanis Academy offers Process, Operator and Maintenance training and is also a complete gummies and jellies webinar course available for those new to the field.
