The WA by IMA is a high-speed wrap-around case packer designed specifically for coated sweets. It offers a versatile and flexible packaging solution by accommodating a wide range of product types and shapes, such as bags and cartons. The WA ensures that each product is carefully and securely packaged, whether standing or lying down, in one or more rows and layers. The system includes accelerating belts to feed products separately, which are then grouped into cases and positioned on a flat case blank. Subsequently, the case blank is folded around the grouped products, and the cover is closed and secured with hot glue. The WA also allows for quick and reliable format changeovers using customized format kits and spindle adjustments. It supports sustainable practices by using recycled cardboard. The equipment has a line speed of 1100 products per minute and can pack up to 30 boxes per minute. It operates with a power requirement of 26 kW and an exercise pressure of 6 bar, and weighs approximately 3000 kg.
