Tablet hardness and combination tester

In pharmaceutical research and production, ensuring the integrity and durability of tablets requires precise hardness testing. Accurate measurement of size, weight, and hardness is essential for maintaining tablet quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Measure, document, and align tablet properties automatically

The ERWEKA TBH 425 series is a tablet hardness and combination tester designed for half-automatic measurement of up to 10 samples. Samples are placed in a star-shaped feeder and automatically transported to the test station. Depending on the model, this device can measure tablet hardness, thickness, diameter, and length. Features such as an alignment routine and support-groove help align odd-shaped samples during testing. A numeric membrane keypad allows for easy entry and storage of nominal hardness values, batch numbers, and product names for up to 50 different products. Data can be transferred via SD card or USB stick, and the unit’s calibration is menu-guided, supporting both weight stones and the ERWEKA AutoCal 2.0 System. The TBH 425 series is equipped with USB and LAN interfaces for printer connection and external control via the optional MC.NET software, ensuring 21 CFR 11 compliance.
