In the food industry, maintaining the quality of meat products before slicing can be challenging due to inadequate cooling systems. Inefficient cooling can lead to product loss, reduced storage life, and compromised hygiene standards.

Control temperature and extend storage life

The Finncold stiffening system, offered by Kometos, is designed for efficient and hygienic cooling of meat and other food products. This system uses controlled cooling to minimize product loss and enhance the storage life of the end product. Featuring a size of 2100 x 1500 x 3250 mm and a capacity to handle up to 600 kg per process, it operates at temperatures ranging from +4 ⁰C to -2 ⁰C, achieving the desired surface temperature in about 45 minutes. The system utilizes an ammonia solution at -35 ºC for freezing, with a cooling capacity of 30 kW. Air circulation is maintained by two EC fans integrated into the cabinet’s stainless-steel structure. Controlled through a KOMETOS PLC control panel, this stiffening system is suitable for various food products including meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, and bakery items, making it a versatile addition to any food production facility.
