The VetterTec Tube Bundle Dryer is an indirect steam heated dryer known for its efficient and gentle treatment of diverse products. Utilizing steam as the heating medium, customers can choose from a variety of energy sources. The dryer operates with a rotating steam-heated tube bundle in a fixed housing, conveying the product axially. Shovels transport the product to the heated tubes, where drying occurs through contact and convection. Typically using saturated steam between 4-10 barg, the dryer is highly efficient with low energy consumption, about 1.25 to 1.3 lbs of steam per lbs of water evaporation. Its closed and gas-tight system minimizes dust emissions, and the integrated dust collector ensures a safe and environmentally friendly process. It is suitable for drying a wide range of products, including those in the starch and grain, alcohol/ethanol, and vegetable oil industries.
