The Spray Bed Dryer by SPX Flow’s Anhydro brand is designed to cater to these requirements. This dryer uses a process where product is atomized into a fine spray, which mixes with recycled fines in an integral fluid bed. The primary air flow enters the top of the chamber for initial drying, while a secondary air flow through the fluid bed ensures the correct moisture content before discharge. The system recycles particles caught in spent drying air back into the atomization zone for optimized particle size control. Available in open or closed cycle designs, the Spray Bed Dryer operates efficiently across capacity profiles from 5 kg/h to 10 t/h. It’s suitable for heat-sensitive materials and offers high thermal efficiency with minimal fines and traceability.
