The Spheronizer by Three-Tec is designed for reducing the length and rounding off fine extrudate strands. It achieves the desired end-product geometry by adjusting the batch size, speed, and surface structure of the friction disc. The modular concept allows for various friction discs with different surface structures and container sizes, all operating with the same drive unit. The system includes an electric heater and connections for temperature control, enabling both heating and cooling. The Spheronizer is controlled via an integrated touch panel or frequency converter, with a speed range of 200 to 4,000 RPM. It can process batch quantities from 5 to 5,000 grams, with larger quantities available on request.
