The GEA separator is designed specifically for the production of double cream fresh cheese from milk with 8 to 12 percent fat content. Driven by a frequency-controlled 3-phase AC motor without clutch, it ensures smooth operation via a flat belt. The self-cleaning bowl allows for fully automatic cleaning-in-place (CIP), and hydraulically controlled opening and closing enable efficient discharging of solids. The product is processed in a closed-line system with double centripetal pumps discharging both heavy and light phases. All product-contacting parts are constructed from stainless steel, and FDA-approved materials are available for the seals. An optional condition monitoring system provides continuous monitoring of bearing condition and rotation, enabling proactive maintenance. This solution makes the production process more efficient and ensures high-quality cheese with a consistent product profile.
