Screw press for insect protein extraction
As global fishmeal resources become scarce and costly, there is an urgent need for sustainable and efficient alternatives in the animal feed industry. Traditional protein sources pose ecological challenges, urging the search for innovative solutions to support the growing protein demand.

Mechanically extract fat from dried insect larvae
The Reinartz screw press, available in models TP 04 to TP 90, is designed specifically for the mechanical degreasing of dried fly larvae, particularly the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens). These presses efficiently separate the fat from the dried larvae, which is collected in a tank integrated into the base of the press frame. The Reinartz TP series offers a range of sizes and capacities, from a connected load of 4 kW (TP 04) to 110 kW (TP 90), allowing flexibility based on production scale. With lengths ranging from 1,800 mm to 6,000 mm, widths from 500 mm to 1,500 mm, and heights from 800 mm to 2,300 mm, these presses cater to various operational needs. Machines for insect protein production by Reinartz, certified by Naturland e.V. for biological animal feed, can be an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fishmeal, offering a protein content of over 62%. Reinartz supports the entire production process of insect meal, from the crude material to the finished product storage.
