Scraped surface ultra cooler for liquid temperature reduction

In industrial processes where precise temperature control of liquids is essential, maintaining consistent and uniform cooling poses significant challenges. Efficient heat transfer is crucial, especially when dealing with highly viscous fluids.

Ensures uniform cooling and high heat transfer

The scraped surface ultra cooler, Frigouniversal by Padovan (Omnia Technologies), is designed to reduce liquid temperatures using an intermediate refrigerant. This system operates through a cycle involving evaporation, compression, condensation, and expansion. Using refrigerants like Freon or ammonia, the unit’s capacity adjusts based on factors such as inlet and outlet liquid temperatures and the temperature of cooling air or condensation water. Equipped with one or more stainless steel evaporators, the liquid continuously transfers heat directly to the refrigerant. The scraping blades ensure high performance in heat transfer and uniform cooling. Hermetic, semihermetic, or open-type compressors and either air-cooled or water-cooled condensers are included. The modules are thermally insulated with Polyurethane foam to maintain efficiency.

Benefits

  • Ensures uniform cooling of liquids
  • High heat transfer efficiency
  • Suitable for high viscosity fluids
  • Flexible refrigerant options (Freon or ammonia)
  • Thermal insulation maintains system efficiency
