Pultrusion pelletizer for long glass fiber thermoplastics

In the production of long glass fiber thermoplastics, conventional pelletizers often face issues with cutting precision, durability, and energy consumption. These challenges can lead to increased maintenance costs and inconsistent product quality, requiring specialized equipment to address these unique requirements.

Efficiently pelletizes long glass fiber thermoplastics

The ‘P’ Series Pultrusion Pelletizer by Bay Plastics Machinery is engineered specifically for pelletizing tough, pultruded long glass fiber thermoplastics. It features optimal cutting geometry that minimizes wear and power consumption. The isolation coupler eliminates rotor deflection from motor pull forces, maintaining a precise 0.0005-inch gap between the carbide blade rotor and carbide bed knife. This ensures high-quality cuts and extends the equipment’s life. Available in various models, from lab-scale to large production, it offers cut lengths from 1/4” to 2” with precision adjustment. Standard features include dual flywheels for increased rotor inertia, digital pellet length control, and slide-on front end for easy cleaning. The equipment is also soundproofed and offers optional features such as custom heights and discharge chute configurations.

Benefits

  • Minimized wear and power consumption
  • High-quality cuts with precise gap adjustment
  • Easy cleaning and maintenance
  • Soundproof operation
  • Customizable to specific production needs
