Laboratory basket mill for fine grinding in industrial applications

During the development of industrial paints, varnishes, and coatings, achieving precise particle size distribution and homogeneous dispersion is crucial. Inaccurate grinding can result in poor product performance and visual defects, necessitating reliable fine grinding solutions.

Achieve precise fine grinding and dispersion

The Laboratory KREIS-BASKET-MILLĀ® by Wilhelm Niemann is designed for the fine grinding and dispersion of low- to medium-viscous products, particularly suited for the paint, varnish, and chemical industries. Its gas-proofed cover system ensures containment of volatile components, while the height-adjustable, cooled grinding basket allows for optimized control over the grinding process. The system’s high peripheral speed and automatic cooling control keep temperatures within safe limits, and continuous temperature measurement helps maintain consistent product quality. The KBM 31 model can handle batch sizes from 2.0 to 3.5 kilograms and features a capacity of 1 to 3 liters in the grinding chamber. Options include double pump discs, mixing containers with cooling jackets, and vacuum designs, making it a versatile tool in both research and small-scale production.

Benefits

  • Consistent particle size distribution
  • Maintained temperature control during grinding
  • Flexible for different batch sizes
  • Optimized for use with wear-proof grinding beads
  • Versatile design allows for various industrial applications
