Insertion technology for sterile blow/fill/seal systems
In the production of sterile pharmaceuticals, ensuring contamination-free packaging is critical. Sterile environments and automated processes are essential to maintain product integrity and compliance with stringent standards.

Automate sterile insertions under controlled conditions
The Isolation/Insertion Technology for ASEP-TECH® Blow/Fill/Seal systems by Weiler Engineering, Inc. offers a reliable method for inserting sterile components into containers. This technology uses a barrier isolator outside the machine room, integrated with the B/F/S system. Sterile inserts, such as tip and cap assemblies or multi-entry rubber stoppers, are loaded into the isolator (maintained at Class 100 conditions) through a rapid transfer port. These inserts are then automatically indexed into the B/F/S system, where they are inserted into the molded container before the final top closure is formed, all under Class 100 controlled environment conditions. This process ensures high sterility assurance for products that cannot be terminally sterilized.
Benefits
- Maintains high sterility assurance
- Eliminates human intervention
- Automates insertion of sterile components
- Operates under Class 100 conditions
- Suitable for products that cannot be terminally sterilized
