Hot water shrink tunnel for packaging

In high-productivity continuous-cycle packaging processes, efficient and consistent shrink wrapping is essential to ensure product quality and packaging integrity. Traditional methods often fall short due to issues like inconsistent heating and manual adjustments, leading to increased downtime and maintenance costs.

Automates shrink wrapping with precise control

The Saccardo TU800 is a hot water shrink tunnel designed by Starvac Systems for integration with vacuum packing machines. The tunnel’s stainless steel construction and insulation minimize heat loss, while a PLC-integrated touch screen facilitates operation and control. It features automatic product loading and unloading, adjustable conveyor belt speed, and electronic control of water temperature. The system monitors water levels automatically and includes a fan for steam aspiration. The TU800 can also optionally heat water via steam injection, with overall dimensions of 1562 x 1156 x 1850 mm and handling product widths up to 805 mm and heights up to 350 mm.

Benefits

  • Minimizes heat loss with stainless steel insulation
  • Automates product loading and unloading
  • Ensures precise water temperature control
  • Reduces downtime with automatic water level monitoring
  • Offers flexible heating options, including steam injection
