Empty capsule transfer system

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, maintaining a continuous supply of empty capsules to the filling machine is crucial. Challenges such as manual handling, capsule damage, and keeping the machine from running empty often arise, disrupting production and reducing efficiency.

Ensures continuous capsule supply without manual handling

The CapsuJet C20 by Hanningfield Process Systems is an empty capsule transfer system designed to tackle capsule handling challenges. This system enables the gentle and repeatable transfer of empty capsules into the capsule filling machine. Capsules are loaded into a 200-liter storage hopper, accommodating a full, standard-sized box. A tangentially discharged airflow from a multistage fan, combined with a patented venturi, creates suction that gently conveys the capsules. The system also includes a fully adjustable optical sensor that controls the capsule level in the receiving hopper, automatically starting and stopping the convey cycle. The CapsuJet C20 is mounted on a mobile trolley, weighing approximately 150 kgs, with dimensions of H1180mm x W760mm x L1215mm. It is capable of transferring up to 300,000 capsules per hour, with a maximum vertical convey distance of 10m and a horizontal distance of 5m.
