Dust aerosol generator for stable dosing and calibration

For precise calibration and validation in aerosol research or monitoring, stable and continuous dosing of dry dust or powders is critical. Controlling mass concentration and particle size is essential to ensure reliable and accurate results in various industrial and research applications.

Generate and de-agglomerate dry dust particles

The Dust Aerosol Generator Model 3410 by TSI Systems disperses dry dust and powders, offering continuous and stable dosing with high accuracy. This generator features two versions: 3410U and 3410L. Model 3410U is suitable for poorly flowing powders at low dosing rates (over 50 mg/m3), using a metal ring mechanism to control powder flow. Model 3410L employs a toothed belt to meter powder, achieving mass concentrations from 0.5 to 160 g/m3. Both models utilize an ejector nozzle with ceramic inlay for resistance to abrasive materials and ensure particle dispersion through shear forces. The design allows refilling the reservoir during operation, making it suitable for extended dosing intervals. Applications include instrument calibration, aerosol research, inhalation studies, and filter testing. The generator can handle various materials, from soot to ISO 12103 test dust, even in humid environments, and is equipped with interchangeable dispersing units for output concentration control.

Benefits
