Drains curds with adjustable pressure
The Tetra Pak® Drum Drainer 2 is designed for the gentle drainage of washing and cooling water from cottage cheese curd. Its unique construction, featuring a drainage screen, woven belt, and pressing drum with adjustable pressure, ensures the production of dry curd without compromising quality. The unit can process up to 4,000 kg/h of curd and can be delivered to meet USDA standards. The drum drainer’s inlet is designed with a kite-shaped plate that evenly distributes curd onto the pre-draining screen for efficient drainage. The triangular cross-section of the pre-draining screen aids in whey removal, while the woven polypropylene draining belt retains even the smallest curd particles. The pressure of the belt against the drum is automatically controlled, but can be manually adjusted via the control panel.
