Cooling tunnel for cream-filled wafer blocks

In the production of cream-filled wafers, maintaining the structural integrity and consistency of the wafers post-baking is crucial. Particularly challenging is cooling the wafers uniformly, especially when dealing with height limits, soft cream fillings, or additional toppings like nuts or caramel.

Ensures even cooling for wafer blocks.

The Franz Haas KKH Wafer Block Cooling Tunnel by Bühler is designed for optimal cooling of cream-filled wafer blocks in wafer lines. This cooling tunnel is engineered to handle products with tight height restrictions, relatively soft cream fillings, and toppings such as nuts or caramel. The system maintains a constant temperature of 8–10°C, controlled by a thermostat, ensuring the stability and quality of the end product. The conveyors within the tunnel are made from either stainless steel or durable special polymer, making them easy to clean. Additionally, the cooling tunnel allows for easy access from all sides, thanks to doors with PU foam insulation. The gentle cooling process is facilitated by a horizontal construction, avoiding the need to turn the wafer blocks, thus preserving their integrity.

Benefits

  • Maintains constant cooling temperature at 8–10°C.
  • Easy cleaning due to stainless steel or durable polymer conveyors.
  • Allows easy access for maintenance from all sides.
  • Gentle cooling without turning the wafer blocks.
  • Suitable for products with toppings like nuts or caramel.
