Contact spreading machine for cream application on wafer sheets

Producing high-quality wafer sandwiches requires precise and efficient cream application. Traditional methods may be inconsistent and labor-intensive, leading to potential quality variability. Ensuring uniform cream distribution on each wafer sheet is critical for maintaining product quality and consistency.

Automatically applies cream with contact spreading

The Contact Spreading Machine WZKT by Hebenstreit is designed for fully automatic cream application using the contact method. This technology ensures that each wafer sheet receives a consistent cream layer by directly contacting the spreading roller. The machine can handle up to 40 wafer sheets per minute and supports a spreading width of up to 500 mm. The system allows non-creamed cover sheets to pass through by adjusting the conveyor belt height, ensuring flexibility in wafer sandwich compositions. In the downstream stacking station, creamed sheets are layered, and a cover sheet is placed on top to form the final sandwich. The machine’s automated operation reduces labor costs and increases production efficiency.
