The Applikon AppliSens, by Getinge, is a reliable sensor designed specifically for long-term, stable, and accurate measurements in bioprocesses. Utilizing FDA-approved materials, these sensors are cGMP compliant and withstand repeated sterilize-in-place (SIP) and clean-in-place (CIP) processes. The AppliSens sensors include various types of measurement technologies like LumiSens optical DO, DO2, pH, and RedOx sensors. LumiSens sensors offer reduced maintenance due to their two-part design and eliminate the need for polarization after autoclaving. DO2 sensors are designed with a titanium membrane to minimize drift, and pH+ sensors feature a fixed sleeve diaphragm for improved accuracy in long-term operations. Additionally, the RedOx sensors provide rapid response times for measuring reduction/oxidation potentials in cultures. The sensors have standardized PG 13.5 connector for easy interchangeability with other bioreactor brands, making them flexible and adaptable for various applications.
