As the beverage would require carbonated water in its production process, the proper amount of carbon dioxide must acquire the desired taste.


<h2>Dissolving carbon dioxide by absorption and injection</h2>
The EASY.CarboS and the EASY.CarboV are two types of carbonation systems designed by A Due. The EASY.CarboS is used to add carbon dioxide to water. The system features an automatic carbon dioxide regulator that automatically adjusts the pressure of carbon dioxide in the tank depending on the product temperature. Carbon dioxide is added at a low temperature of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius and at a high pressure of 6 bars, which is ideal for carbon dioxide to dissolve into the water.

EASY.CarboV employs a carbon dioxide injection system that allows faster and more efficient gas solubility in the liquid. A fully automatic carbonation system with a special carbon dioxide injector ensures stability and precise carbon dioxide injection for a more uniform distribution. The EASY.CarboV is available in 5,000 to 60,000 liters production capacities.

Juice production lines require multiple ingredients to be typically mixed with water. The incorporation of ingredients like juice powder, aroma and stabilizers can sometimes have an uneven mixture. It can also happen when mixing pulp, fruit pieces or suspended particles. To obtain even mixing and homogeneity of the finished syrup or juices, they need to be accurately processed and dosed.


<h2>Mixing and dosing powder and liquid ingredients in batch</h2>
The EASY.Core by A Due is a compact dosing system that consists of a double set of mixers and tanks. They can simultaneously or sequentially transfer each ingredient and mixing it to prepare for the finished syrup or finished drink. It can prepare several recipes at the same time and is able to dissolve powders or empty the liquid concentrates. This system provides total and accurate control of dosing and mixing of the ingredients through mass flow measuring instruments.

In the beverage industry, production of sweet drinks requires the addition of sugar syrup. Purchasing the syrup can be very expensive, concerning the volume of the liquid material and thus, transportation costs. To reduce these costs, dissolving granulated sugar can be an advantageous alternative. It can be done effectively using either a batch system suitable for small scale manufacturers, or continuous system ideal for industrial scale.


<h2>Dissolving sugar using batch or continuous system</h2>
A Due offers two systems for dissolving sugar, a batch, and a continuous dissolving system. The traditional batch system is used for production lines with smaller flow rates. Depending on the percentage of sugar to be dissolved, cold (from 20°C) or hot (up to 90°C) methods can be used. The hot method dissolves sugar quicker compared to the cold method, which requires longer time. The ingredients in the batch system can be mixed by means of hydrojet systems (jet-mix), high-speed eccentric stirrers, or a high shear propeller design.

Easy.Dinamix is the continuous sugar dissolving system designed by A Due. It can use both hot and cold dissolving at a temperature within the range 25 ÷ 85 °C. It is also suitable to treat granulated white beet sugar and/or brown can sugar. Easy.Dinamix has a production capacity of 3,000 to 30,000 liters per hour. It has an easy-to-install monobloc design, which makes the entire system compact. Different than the batch system, the continuous dissolving system can be operated continuously every day.

While most people probably think that the healing powers of seawater are a myth, someone actually believed it. And he did the right thing! The story comes from the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, where three Galician entrepreneurs came up with the idea of turning seawater into a recovery drink.



The Making.com team had the pleasure of meeting Raúl Anta at the Free From Amsterdam 2022 , one of the Founders of <a href="https://refixyourself.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">REFIX</a>, an isotonic and healthy drink made from alkaline seawater that helps against fatigue, tiredness... and guess what? <em>Resaca</em>! (Hangover)

The seawater is extracted directly from the Atlantic Ocean, specifically in Costa da Morte, a natural place without industrial pollution and part of the Natura 2000 Network. Galician water has an optimal quality and an adequate pH, slightly basic.

REFIX contains 15% of the recommended daily value of magnesium naturally, in addition to the other minerals contained in seawater – seawater has 78 minerals.

The idea was born out of a desire to create a healthy recovery drink that contained more minerals and zero sugar. After extracting, seawater is filtered and sent to the factory. 20% of seawater is mixed with lemon juice or orange juice, the two flavors in which Refix is currently available - the orange flavor has a slightly sweeter taste due to the addition of agave syrup.

Refix is also a sustainable drink since it is bottled in glass and delivered in 100% recycled and recyclable FSC cardboard boxes.
