Ultrafiltration system for brine regeneration

In cheese production, maintaining brine quality is crucial for ensuring consistent flavor and texture. Traditional brine filtration methods can be labor-intensive and less effective over time, leading to contamination and uneven salting. This necessitates an efficient, automated solution for brine regeneration.

Automate brine filtration and regeneration

The Ultrafiltration System for Brine Regeneration by Progema Engineering utilizes micro or ultrafiltration membranes tailored to specific application needs. Pre-mounted on a skid, the system can be provided with optional wheels for easy mobility within the cheese factory. It operates with treated/softened water for membrane washing, ensuring membrane longevity. The system is controlled by an intuitive PLC interface, allowing precise management of filtration and washing cycles. It automates the loading, concentrate discharge, and intermediate cleaning processes, including an automatic CIP system that accommodates up to four different detergents. Precise dosage is ensured by a load cell, which measures detergent by weight. The system requires a steam network with a maximum pressure of 10 bar and a disposal outlet for brine residue and washing solutions. Progema Engineering is a brand of Omnia Technologies.
