Top hat industrial furnace for high-temperature applications
In industries handling materials that require precise heat treatment, a reliable furnace capable of reaching high temperatures and providing even heating is essential. Challenges often include uneven heating, limited access for loading, and managing binder gases safely during debinding processes.
Automates heat treatment and debinding in air
The HB series from Carbolite Gero features an automatically operated vertically moving hood, providing easy access to samples from three sides. Designed for heat treatment in air, these furnaces can be equipped with CrFeAl heating wires for up to 1300°C or MoSi2 heating elements for up to 1800°C. They come in capacities ranging from 80 to 560 liters, with options for either a top hat design with a movable hood or a bottom loading design with a steady hood and movable hearth. For debinding of technical ceramics, preheated air fans are available to blow hot air through the hearth into the furnace chamber. Safety features, such as active propane gas afterburners or catalytic oxidizers, ensure safe combustion of binder gases. Additional options include programmable EPC3016P1 controllers, gas inlets for modified atmospheres, reinforced base plates for heavier loads, and fast cooling mechanisms.
