The GEA HorizontalBuffer is designed to accumulate and automatically load portions onto a subsequent processing system. It helps compensate for the re-loading time in the slicer by utilizing a vertical distributor to direct portions towards an available buffer level, accumulating them efficiently. If the buffer levels are full, the system signals the slicer to stop cutting to prevent overloading. At the out-feed end, another vertical distributor accepts portions from the buffer levels and synchronizes the loading speed with the next system. Incorrect weight portions are sorted to an optional upper correction belt for manual correction.
