Shaftless spiral conveyor for difficult waste handling

Handling materials like urban solid waste, de-watered sludge, and food processing waste often presents significant challenges. Issues such as material tangling, variable particle sizes, and the need for continuous, uninterrupted material flow must be addressed to ensure efficient waste management.

Efficiently convey challenging materials

The Shaftless Spiral Conveyor SSC by WAMGROUP is designed to tackle the challenges of conveying difficult materials. This conveyor features an extra heavy-duty shaftless screw that slides on a wear-resistant, low-friction liner inside a U-section trough. This design negates the need for intermediate bearings, ensuring obstacle-free material handling. The materials used for the trough and spiral include carbon steel or 304L / 316L stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to corrosion. The SSC can handle urban solid waste, de-watered sludge, and waste from meat, fish, fruit, and vegetable processing. It offers a throughput rate of up to 45 m³/h for sludge and up to 12.9 m³/h for screenings, driven by a power range of 0.55 kW to 9.2 kW. The system is enclosed to prevent material leakage and can be loaded through various inlet options, making it highly adaptable to different waste management needs.
