Mobile biodecontamination unit for small to mid-size rooms

In pharmaceutical and research environments, achieving thorough decontamination of small to mid-size rooms and enclosures is crucial. Conventional methods can be labor-intensive and might not ensure complete eradication of microbial contamination, leaving facilities at risk of biohazard exposure.

Decontaminates with dry vapor technology

The VHP Flex Mobile Biodecontamination Unit, developed by Steris Finn-Aqua, provides an effective solution for decontaminating small to medium-sized rooms and sealed enclosures. Using STERIS’s trusted dry vapor hydrogen peroxide (VHP) technology, the unit ensures a validated 6-log bioburden reduction cycle, eliminating a broad spectrum of spores, viruses, and fungi. This compact unit can be controlled either via an onboard HMI, through building automation systems, or remotely with wireless connectivity to laptops, tablets, or phones. Featuring both technical and mobile flexibility, it is capable of operating as a standalone unit or integrated with other control systems via optional Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, BACnet, or discrete I/O. The Flex’s Smart Cycle function allows for simple biodecontamination at the push of a button, making it user-friendly. It is suitable for use in pharmaceutical production, research laboratories, and similar environments.
