Laboratory grain milling system

In research and development environments within food science, accurately testing and preparing grain samples is crucial. Challenges arise in achieving consistent milling results and separating the various components of the grain effectively.

Achieve precise and gentle grain milling

The Quadrumat Senior by Brabender is a laboratory milling system designed for the precise and gentle milling of grain. This system can handle up to 8–10 kg of grain per hour with a maximum moisture content of 18%. It features two 4-roller units—a whole grain unit and a meal/semolina release unit—effectively producing meal, flour, bran, and semolina bran. Thanks to profile-ground rollers, the milling process is gentle, minimizing damage to the grain. Additionally, the self-emptying sifter ensures easy operation and maintenance. The system is also available as a semolina mill, suitable for milling durum wheat. By connecting the Brabender Bran Duster, users can increase ash content and yield by approximately 5%.
