The Comitrol® Processor Model 5600 from Urschel utilizes a unique size reduction principle enhanced by an increased impeller speed of 5,600 revolutions per minute. With a powerful 100 HP (75 kW) motor and a 5 HP (3.7 kW) screw feeder with a variable frequency drive (VFD), it maximizes throughput for continuous, uninterrupted production. Constructed from stainless steel, it is designed for easy cleanup and maintenance. Ideal for applications like vegetable protein, curry, ginger, and various meat byproducts, the input size should not exceed 2-1/2 inches (63.5 mm) in any dimension. The system is highly customizable with various reduction heads and impellers to achieve coarse to fine reductions.
