Glass cleaning system for recycling applications

Recycling facilities face significant challenges with material streams contaminated by fine glass particles. These particles can cause considerable wear to air systems and disrupt the efficiency of waste separation processes.

Removes contaminants from material streams efficiently

The Lubo Glass Cleaning System by Bollegraaf offers a comprehensive solution for efficient cleaning of glass-contaminated material streams. This system starts with a vibrating screen fitted with a flexible screening deck to remove 0-10 mm fractions. These small particles often contain fine glass that can cause excessive wear to equipment. Subsequently, the material is conveyed to a covered conveyor with a wind shifter that further processes and separates the stream. A second vibrating screen removes 10-25 mm fractions, making the remaining material significantly heavier than other contaminants. Another wind shifter at the end of this screen addresses contaminants of 25-50 kg/m³. This multi-step approach ensures minimized wear-and-tear, high purity end products, and easy maintenance, making it ideal for recycling operations dealing with glass-laden streams.

Benefits

  • Increases glass purity by removing contaminants
  • Reduces wear-and-tear on machinery
  • Facilitates easy maintenance and high uptime
  • Optimizes waste separation processes
  • Ensures efficient recycling operations
