The CALLIFREEZE® by GEA is a control system designed for use with GEA freezers to enhance freezing efficiency and product quality. It continuously monitors the level of crystallized water in food products exiting the freezer, then automatically adjusts freezer parameters such as retention time, air temperature, and fan speed. This ensures each product achieves the precise freezing required with minimum energy consumption. Unique to GEA, the system employs inline sensing technology to measure frozenness without contacting food. Proven in tests, CALLIFREEZE® increases production capacity by up to 20% while reducing energy consumption by 10%. It is compatible with GEA’s S-Tec and A-Tec spiral freezers and can be retrofitted to existing systems.
