Filling and closing system for nested containers

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, efficiently handling and processing liquid products into nested containers such as cartridges and syringes is crucial. This often involves challenges including precise dosing, minimal particle emission, and ensuring reliable closure of the containers.

Fills and closes nested cartridges and syringes

The SFM 5105 from Bausch+Ströbel is designed to fill and close nested containers such as cartridges and syringes in the VarioSys production system. This system features a dosing station that uses rotary piston pumps for precise liquid handling, with options for other dosing technologies like peristaltic pumps. The module automatically closes containers after dosing, maintaining minimal particle emission. The closures are processed gently and reliably, ensuring intact product integrity. It supports up to 4,300 items per hour, handling container sizes from 0.5 to 10 ml. Additional features include in-process control (IPC), vacuum-assisted dosing, and gas flushing during the filling and closing process.

Benefits

  • High process reliability with minimal particle emission
  • Supports various dosing technologies for flexibility
  • Automatic closure handling for efficiency
  • Handles up to 4,300 items per hour
  • Suitable for a wide range of container sizes, from 0.5 to 10 ml
