Decanter for plant-based beverage extraction
In the production of plant-based beverages, extracting high-quality liquid from mashed and watered cereal grains is a critical step. This process requires a reliable and efficient method to separate undesired fibers while retaining valuable components like starch and β-glucans.

Separate undesired fibers and retain valuable nutrients
The GEA CF Decanter Centrifuge is designed to optimize the extraction of plant-based beverages. It operates by feeding slurry into the decanter to separate fibers effectively, keeping starch and β-glucans in the liquid product. The decanter’s hygienic design ensures purity, and it is completely CIP-able for easy cleaning. A frequency-controlled 3-phase AC motor, along with the GEA summationdrive, allows for high differential speeds and torque, processing high solid capacities with full torque up to maximum differential speed. All parts in contact with the product are made of stainless steel, ensuring durability and compliance with FDA regulations for seals. The clarified liquid discharges under pressure via a centripetal pump, and solids are discharged by gravity. This decanter suits continuous processing requirements and simplifies operations with plug & play skid design options, making it ideal for various food and beverage industry applications.
