It integrates whey removal, curd washing, and cooling in one continuous operation, offering advantages over traditional systems such as reduced water consumption and minimized curd damage. The draining belt, made of woven polypropylene, ensures all water is drained while retaining curd particles. A wide, kite-shaped steel plate inlet design ensures even distribution of curd across the belt. The curd washing system uses cold water nozzles to wash away whey and lactic acid without damaging the curd. Two-step cooling, involving water sprays and a buffer tank, eliminates the need for mechanical mixing and keeps curd intact. One Tetra Pak Drainer Washer can serve up to eight cottage cheese vats, making it a cost-effective solution for increasing line capacity.
