Confectionery forming extruders for viscous masses

In the confectionery industry, processing diverse viscous masses such as licorice, fruit gums, and chewy candy can be challenging. Achieving consistent texture and shape while maintaining high production efficiency requires specialized equipment.

Form and shape various confections with ease

The Extrufood forming extruders are twin-screw, co-rotating extruders, specifically designed to handle a variety of viscous masses including licorice, fruit gums, fruit snacks, sugar paste, chewy candy, toffees, and caramels. These extruders are built on a robust, single base frame, ensuring stability during operation. The intermeshing screws are self-wiping, simplifying the cleaning process. An optional twin-screw, counter-rotating infeed section allows for a stable, de-aerated mass flow, enhancing consistency. For multi-colored products, Extrufood offers solutions such as the Diemix® for mixing color and flavor directly after extrusion or a twin-forming extruder setup. Every part in contact with the product is made from stainless steel, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
