Block cutter for dividing cheese into bars

In industrial cheese processing, achieving precise and efficient cutting of cheese blocks into bars is essential for optimizing yield and ensuring uniformity. This process often requires a solution capable of handling large volumes while maintaining consistent quality.

Divide cheese blocks into precise bars

The Block Cutter BTS from ALPMA Alpenland Maschinenbau GmbH is designed for dividing large euro blocks of cheese into bars. This cutter can handle up to five cheese blocks per minute, making it highly suitable for high-capacity production environments. It can cut blocks with a maximum length of 550 mm, width of 330 mm, and height of 150 mm. The machine aligns and distributes the bars directly into a slicer, accommodating single, paired, triple, or groups of four bars as per slicing requirements. For cheddar blocks, the BTS 300/C variant includes a contour scan and weighing feature, which provides precision cutting with adjustable wires followed by automatic separation for optimized bar production to improve yield.

Benefits

  • High throughput with a capacity of up to five blocks per minute
  • Precision cutting adjusted to specific block dimensions
  • Automated alignment and sorting for efficient integration with slicers
  • Optimized yield with contour scanning and weighing
  • Flexible configuration to meet varying slicing demands
