Beer carbonation system

Achieve consistent and precise carbonation in beverages, ensuring optimal gas dissolution for enhanced flavor profiles and beverage stability, while streamlining operations with easy recipe adjustments and minimal maintenance requirements.

Carbonates Beverages with Precision and Consistency

The Carboset™ and Carboset™ Mini from Alfa Laval are compact carbonation systems tailored for breweries and beverage manufacturers seeking precise carbonation control. Specializing in efficient gas dissolution, the system integrates seamlessly into existing production lines, ensuring consistent CO2 levels for products ranging from craft beers to sparkling waters.

The Carboset™ functions by injecting CO2 directly into the beverage via a static mixer, facilitating thorough gas blending at set carbonation levels. This self-contained module features a holding cell with a back-pressure valve to guarantee complete gas dissolution before leaving the system, rendering it effective for applications such as beer finishing at temperatures as low as 2°C under 4 bar pressure.

Achieving CO2 concentrations between 4 to 7 g/l, these modules are suitable for diverse end-products like lagers, IPAs, and soft drinks. Alfa Laval’s solution supports flexible recipe management with stored CO2 setpoints, enabling rapid adjustments between different formulations. Made with stainless steel and heat-resistant seals to comply with food industry standards, the Carboset™ supports cleaning-in-place procedures for minimal maintenance.

Engineers can rely on the Carboset™ for its robust automation and capability to communicate with upstream equipment, such as separators, for synchronized operations. This solution guarantees quality while reducing risks of carbonation inconsistencies in high-speed, continuous production environments, providing breweries and beverage manufacturers with a reliable tool to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
