Autonomous mobile robot for precise positioning
In industries like shipbuilding, aviation, and wind turbine manufacturing, precise positioning and handling of very large components is essential. Traditional methods involve manual positioning and heavy-duty machinery, which can be time-consuming and pose safety risks.

Autonomously maneuver and position large components
The KMR QUANTEC by KUKA is an advanced mobile industrial robot system designed to autonomously move and position large components with high precision. Utilizing the KUKA omniMove platform, it features a KR QUANTEC robot with a payload capacity of 150 kilograms and a reach of 3,300 millimeters. The omniMove drive technology allows the unit to move omnidirectionally, including sideways and diagonally, thanks to barrel-shaped rollers encapsulated by fixed rims. This ensures safe and precise maneuvering in tight spaces. Integrated laser scanners provide surrounding monitoring for collision-free navigation. High-performance batteries and industry-standard wireless technology ensure operation without external power or restrictive cabling. The KMR QUANTEC is customizable with various tools, equipment, and grippers to meet specific operational needs, supported by a KR C4 controller for efficient and flexible automation.
