Advanced particle size separation for chemical analysis

In environmental monitoring and workplace aerosol analysis, accurately separating and analyzing various particle sizes is crucial. Traditional methods often face challenges with particle loss and deposition uniformity.

Separate particles by size for precise analysis

The MOUDI-II Rotating Impactors from TSI Systems are advanced tools designed for precise aerodynamic particle separation. Utilizing up to 6000 precision micro-orifice nozzles, these impactors minimize pressure drop, jet velocity, and particle bounce. With individual stepper motors, the internal impaction plates rotate to ensure nearly uniform particle collection, enhancing quantitative chemical analysis. The models 120R, 122R, and 125R offer sampling flow rates of 30 L/min and 10 L/min, suitable for different particle sizes, ranging from 10 mm to 10 nm. Constructed from hard-coated anodized aluminum, these impactors are both durable and lightweight. They also feature programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for operation automation and can be controlled remotely via Ethernet. These devices are ideal for applications such as atmospheric aerosol sampling, engine emissions monitoring, and biological aerosol characterization.
