Wine clarification flotator

In winemaking, efficient clarification of grape must is critical for optimal fermentation and concentration stages. Without proper removal of lees and colloidal particles, the quality and stability of the wine can be compromised.

Achieve efficient and versatile wine clarification

The EcoFlot batch flotator by Della Toffola is designed to perform wine clarification through a single-tank flotation process. During the process, the must is treated with adjuvants such as bentonite, gelatin, or silica sol to break down its colloidal structure and then saturated with nitrogen or air. This leads to the lees being entrained to the surface for removal. The EcoFlot ensures an effective and economically advantageous flotation process by allowing continuous pumping over and saturation. Samples can be collected and analyzed during the process to ensure desired clarity levels are achieved. The EcoFlot operates at pressures up to 6 bar, with models capable of processing 170 hl/h (S1), 330 hl/h (S2), and 510 hl/h (S3).

Benefits

  • Single-tank flotation process for efficiency
  • Adjustable pumping over and saturation times for precise control
  • High processing capacities up to 510 hl/h
  • Suitable for various adjuvants like bentonite and gelatin
  • Economically advantageous process minimizing operational costs
