The ultrafiltration plant by Blendtech (Omnia Technologies) is specifically designed for juice producers. It addresses challenges such as reducing yellow color to achieve an absorbance OD at 420nm of more than 0.4 and removing Thermo Acidophilic Bacterium (TAB) that can cause oxidation during long-term storage. The system can handle capacities ranging from 5 to 60 tons per hour, with a cut-off variable between 100,000 to 500,000 daltons. For additional environmental benefits, the UF line can be equipped with a crossflow rotary dynamic filter ‘Dynamos’ to recover retentate in the event of no diafiltration process, helping to reduce waste typically generated by standard UF plants.
