The FBR ELPO system is designed to optimize the receiving, sorting, and destoning of fruits. It begins with either a bin dumper or a semi-automatic case dumper that discharges the fruit into receiving tanks. Here, the fruit undergoes an initial wash with cold or hot water. The system can include a recirculated water filtering mechanism to keep the water free from solid deposits. An elevator then transports the fruit to a sorting table or an optical sorter to remove any remaining foreign objects. Another elevator delivers the sorted fruit to the destoning and chopping stages.
