Sliding belt conveyor for sorting light, voluminous materials

In material recovery facilities, there is a need for a reliable and efficient system to move light, voluminous materials for sorting purposes. Traditional conveyors can struggle to handle these materials efficiently, leading to bottlenecks and increased labor costs.

Move and sort materials smoothly with minimal noise

The HBGT conveyor from Bollegraaf is a sliding belt conveyor designed to address the specific challenges of sorting light, voluminous materials. Its flat, enclosed construction makes it ideal as a sorting belt. The conveyor uses a modular construction, with a motor section and a tension section connected by modules of varying lengths. Each module is built from 5mm reinforced sheet steel, providing a stable and robust frame. The rubber belt, composed of multiple layers including rubber and canvas, slides over the steel frame and is supported by rollers spaced no more than 2500mm apart. The belt’s tension can be adjusted via an accessible tension roller mechanism that ensures precise operation. Optional oil and grease-resistant belts and customizable cleats enhance functionality. Furthermore, the conveyor’s design minimizes noise due to the absence of transportation chains, making it suitable for indoor installations. With features like a direct SEW motor drive and grease-filled bearings that require minimal maintenance for up to 10,000 hours, the HBGT conveyor offers a reliable and cost-effective solution for material sorting in recycling centers and other facilities handling light waste.
