Shielded Wc for disposal of organic radioactive waste

In medical facilities using Technetium for diagnostic purposes, managing organic radioactive waste can be a significant challenge. Effective containment and decay monitoring are crucial to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Collect and decay organic radioactive waste safely

The WDL Series from Comecer offers a shielded WC designed for the safe disposal of organic radioactive waste. Equipped with a shredder, the system processes sewage, storing it in one of two plastic tanks reinforced with fiberglass. Once one tank is full, waste is automatically redirected to the second tank. A built-in timer evaluates decay time, and sewage can be sampled via front ball valves. Vapor removal is handled by an active charcoal filter. The system is made from durable materials, including a 304-Scotch Brite stainless steel external structure, and features two models: WDL 300 and WDL 600, catering to different volume needs.

Benefits

  • Automated tank switching for continuous operation
  • Active charcoal filter for vapor removal
  • Durable materials including reinforced fiberglass tanks
  • Precise decay time monitoring with a built-in timer
  • Easy sampling through front-access ball valves
