Pressure sensor for viscous fluid dosing applications
In dosing processes involving low to high viscosity materials, precise pressure measurements are critical to maintaining optimal performance and reliability. Static and dynamic pressure monitoring can ensure consistency and accuracy, particularly in microfluidics technology.

Measure pressure in dosing processes accurately
The flowplus 16 by ViscoTec is a relative pressure sensor specifically designed for use in dosing technology applications. It measures pressures in both static and highly dynamic conditions, with a frequency response of up to 3 kHz. The sensor operates within a temperature range of +15 to +45°C and provides optimal metering precision with an error margin of ± 2% FS. Its minimal size (32 x 15 x 12 mm) allows easy integration in various setups. A chemically resistant elastomer membrane ensures reliable pressure transfer to the sensor element, avoiding issues like undercuts and dead spaces. The sensor’s integrated signal reconditioning generates a dynamic output signal (0.1 – 10 VDC), which is crucial for detecting air bubbles and analyzing dosing progress. Additionally, the sensor comes with a standardized LUER-System for easy and fast integration.
