Mechanical fine bar screens for wastewater treatment

In municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, capturing fine solids and reducing maintenance in deep channels is a significant challenge. Effective screening is necessary to ensure environmental compliance and efficient operation.

Precisely screen and remove fine solids

The GVF sub-vertical mechanical fine bar screens by WAMGROUP are designed for medium-fine screening in both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. These screens consist of a robust steel frame and a bar filter, varying according to required screening efficiency. Wastewater flows into the upstream end, where screenings are captured on the bars. Chain-driven rakes then clean the bars and convey material to the discharge point. Solids are removed from the rakes by a wiper and are discharged into a dumpster, conveyor, or compactor. This system features 6 to 10mm spacing and 4 or more cleaning rakes, depending on the screen height. The channel width ranges from 400 to 2,000 mm, with a 75-degree incline angle, making it suitable for installation in very deep channels.

Benefits

  • Robust and durable design for long-term use
  • Suitable for deep channel installations
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Efficient solid separation reduces downstream treatment load
  • Customizable screen types and sizes
