The laboratory high shear mixer by Cos.Mec is designed for the precise wet mixing, granulation, and drying of small quantities of pharmaceutical products. Equipped with an array of advanced features, this unit offers both manual and automatic management of processing cycles via a PLC touchscreen. A key highlight is its granulating chamber, available in various volumes, complete with a transparent lid and an exhaust filter for safe operation. The mixer includes a funnel and manual valve for precise addition of granulation liquids, and a pad valve with pneumatic control. Constructed with high-quality materials, all parts in contact with the product are made from mirror-polished AISI 316 L, achieving a roughness average (RA) of ≤ 0.4 μm, while other parts are made from AISI 304 with an RA of ≤ 0.8 μm. Optional features include a product temperature probe and a heating jacket with a vacuum system for enhanced drying capabilities. Connectivity is ensured through USB and RJ45 terminals, allowing for efficient recipe management and data collection.
