Industrial rotary dryer for odor and emission control
In industries such as starch or ethanol production, managing odors and emissions can be a significant challenge. Traditional drying methods often fail to effectively control these issues, leading to regulatory and environmental problems.
Control emissions and odors efficiently
The ecoDry™ system, exclusively licensed to Dedert for use in North and South America and China, integrates thermal oxidation into a partially-closed circuit rotary dryer. This process operates at over 1600°F (870°C) and is designed to destroy odors and meet emission guarantees. Utilizing a gas/gas heat exchanger, the system uses exhaust gases to heat the drying loop, evaporating water and other substances from the product. The superheated steam drying atmosphere not only ensures high product quality but also reduces fire and explosion risks. This makes the system ideal for drying applications that present problematic emissions and odors, where minimal energy consumption is crucial. The system can be easily integrated into various existing installations, providing both environmental and energy-saving benefits.
