The Probat P60 is a drum roaster designed for gentle, long-term roasting of gourmet coffee and espresso. It features a special shovel mechanism inside a non-perforated, double-wall roasting drum to ensure homogeneous mixing of the coffee beans. With a Probat-specific air-to-bean ratio, it guarantees uniform roasting. The roasting process involves both conduction and convection heating, allowing heat to be transferred to the beans over 10 to 18 minutes. This extended roasting time develops a rich, intense flavor. The P60 can handle a maximum batch size of 60kg, making it suitable for larger shop roasters and small-scale industrial roasting. The machine also includes a separate suction system for cooling and roasting exhaust air, ensuring minimal product loss and effective chaff separation.
