Indirect air heaters, on the other hand, are used in sensitive processes where air must be free of flue gas, such as in food processing or pharmaceutical production. They meet the strict requirements of the latest BImSchV regulations with efficiencies of over 91% and can also be operated in direct mode for added versatility. The design includes an outer casing, an intermediate casing to minimize radiation loss, and a heat-resistant combustion chamber. Indirect air heaters transfer heating energy exclusively via heat exchanger surfaces, ensuring flue gas-free hot air, thereby improving air quality in workplaces.
