Grinding mill for apples and pears

In the fruit and vegetable processing industry, creating high-quality juice from raw produce like apples and pears is essential. Maintaining a mash structure that allows for maximum juice extraction and minimal oxidation presents a significant challenge for producers.

Efficiently grind apples and more

The CM50 Grinding Mill from Bucher Unipektin specializes in grinding apples and pears into a mash structure ideal for juice extraction. The CM50 can also grind various fruits and vegetables such as cherries, strawberries, blackcurrants, carrots, and onions, enhancing juice yield and quality. It features a rotating disc with star-like grinding knives that separate and accelerate particles through centrifugal force. The mill’s speed and particle size can be adjusted by controlling the rotational speed, the discharge slot width, and the size of the knives. With a throughput of 30–50 t/h for apples and 8–12 t/h for carrots, its overall capacity makes it well-suited for commercial-scale operations. The pivoting mechanism allows easy access for maintenance. The system includes two motors, two frequency converters, and a stainless steel control cabinet with a PLC control system and touch screen. The CM50 operates at a connected load of 34 kW with 400 V.
